Teaching
Teaching Philosophy
My teaching philosophy centers around the principles of active learning and student engagement. I see myself as a facilitator in my students’ learning journey, striving to create an environment where everyone feels safe to participate, share ideas, and develop critical thinking skills essential for tackling real-world challenges.
I believe that teaching should be rigorous yet relevant. I combine insights from contemporary, peer-reviewed research with practical business cases, helping students bridge theory and practice in meaningful ways. In my classrooms, diverse perspectives and multicultural contexts are not just included—they are integral. My goal is to help students understand the global and social dimensions of management and to nurture them into independent thinkers who can engage thoughtfully with the world around them.
Teaching Areas & Approach
Core Courses
I am prepared to teach core courses in Strategy, Organization Theory, and International Business. My PhD training and broad research background provide a solid foundation to help students build strong analytical and conceptual skills in these essential areas of business education.
Elective Courses
In addition to core subjects, I am passionate about designing and delivering elective courses informed by my research on topics such as Sustainability, Social Impact, Digital Transformation. These courses explore contemporary issues shaping business and society today.
Bridging Perspectives
Across both core and elective teaching, I focus on creating connections between traditional management topics and socially relevant issues. I integrate diverse perspectives and real-world examples into my classes to help students appreciate how business decisions intersect with societal challenges. While I have particular expertise in contexts from the Global South, especially Brazil, due to my lived experience, research, and professional networks, my teaching always aims to connect theory and practice in ways that are meaningful for students navigating global business environments.
